Harvest Moon Leaf Person
This art activity was inspired by By the Light of the Harvest Moon
. To see more Harvest activities, click here.
Create your Leaf People just like in the book. Go for a Nature Walk (don't forget your trusty Nature Tote) and collect leaves, seeds, twigs, or anything else that catches your eye, then head back home and glue the treasures into Leaf People like the ones that live on Apple Hill Farm.
For an added challenge, hove your young reader make a leaf self portrait. You could even try making the whole family, including pets!
Supplies
- Autumn treasures from a Nature Walk
- Construction paper
- Glue
- Crayons or markers
- Lay
out the autumn treasures so all the shapes can easily be seen. Piece items
together on construction paper to form Leaf People. Glue the items down once a
desired combination is formed. Use crayons or markers to add details.
